'The Sun Makes Itself Known'
We sleep with no blinds until the sun hits our faces. Every morning, even when I know the forecast, even when I can hear the wind…I still wake up hopeful for glassy peeling waves.
I hope you see your own interpretation of this painting. But for me, it’s dawn at Sunshine Beach… the brief moment where you can see the sun but not yet feel it. It arrives, filtering light across the ocean, hitting the trees of the Noosa National Park headland.
75 x 75cm acrylic on canvas with a gloss varnish.
This piece is currently unframed but can be framed in a shadow box eucalyptus frame at an additional cost. Please email me if that’s of interest (I have the frame on order already).
Please note: It was really hard to capture the colours of this piece. The centre of this piece appears red or orange on some computers and phones but it’s actually a deep pink.
